I can’t help but be a celeb style follower. I love to see what they are wearing and what is in style according to Hollywood. My Newlywed friend, who I hate to love, can’t get enough of the Large Gucci Horsebit Hobo. Jessica Simpson is the girl that many look up to for style (let’s hope not smarts) who is never seen wearing anything but the trendiest and best bags. Now she even is as privileged to be wearing a different color every other day. I know I don’t have that luxury, although I would love to, but I’m not making commercials about Pizza Hut’s Buffalo Chicken Pizza either (yea, like that takes a lot of brains?!) Back to the Gucci. Mrs. Newlywed herself has been seen sporting the Gucci Horsebit Hobo in Pink [pic] and also tabacco colored lambskin [pic] and black lambskin [pic].
The Large Horsebit Hobo is part of the Gucci Spring/Summer 2005 cruise line of handbags. On the website there is a variety of colors and fabric material offered, but the pink that Jessica has been sporting is no where to be found. The bag ranges from $980 to $25,000. Wait, wait… is that the right number of zeros? Umm yes. The Gucci Mahogany Crocodile Large Horsebit Hobo with light gold hardware can be yours for the price of a new car. The worst part is, there are actually real people who can afford that. Sigh. It is a large hobo style with horsebit detail strap and inside zip pocket. The large bag is about 18.8 x 4.8 x 15 inches, which is a pretty decent size, if you ask me. The black leather is about $1,290, which is still a hefty price to pay, but no where near $25,000.
This week I found it hard to find a new IT bag because there are so many but the Gucci Belt Bag is a classic IT bag. I think this bag should be called Madonna because its re-invented itself so much. Gucci have re-invented it again for their Cruise line with bright vibrant colors blue and pink. I know that lots of tPF members favour this bag and I myself have it in denim from a few seasons back. I love just walking around not having to hold anything. It is such a popular bag that you have to have one, I bought mine after seeing Carrie from Sex and the City with hers. It can even be worn across your back like a messenger. I find it useful for everyday use and think it?s a steal at $395 for the smaller version. The newest trend from high-end designers is posh bicycles. And the best part about all of these bicycles is they are cruisers. Because a $17,000 cruiser makes more sense than a $17,000 road bike, right? First we introduced you to the Hermes Bicycle, a dressed up 3-speed Batavus bike with Hermes stitched leather accents for $3,500. And then there was the ultra pricey Chanel Bicycle, which features two quilted flap bags and a jewelry roll behind the seat, all of which are detachable and can be used as individual shoulder bags for a whopping $17,000 (though the two flap bags and jewelry roll is a nice addition).

I will tell you what, I am not running out to splurge on this bike. And of all of the designer bicycles, I would opt for the Hermes, because it is the CHEAPEST. Well,I think I have finally come down after the fashion show at the Sky Bar on Thursday. First of all thank you, thank you to everyone that made it happen. We raised ￡300 for Whoopsadaisy childrens charity and (more or less) everything went to plan!
It can be hard to tell just what goes on when you are so involved especially when you spend most of the time behind the scenes getting the models and their outfits sorted. But I have received so many calls, texts and emails that it must have been fine.
We had a full house with over 60 people, a great venue and a wonderful team of models, organisers, local business sponsors and helpers of various kinds.

A Toronto man has been the first to get an eyeball tattoo. Basically, he has turned the whites of his eyes blue.
Corneal tattooing is usually used for patients that have had trauma to their eye, not for this, which is called body modification.
It took 40 injections of blue ink in order to complete this procedure. Pigment was injected under the top layer of the eye using a syringe. The syringe injected the ink into the eye. At first they had tried a traditional needle with ink on it, but when the ink didn’t hold, they switched to the syringe.
The man has reported that all is well so far, but it feels like he has something in his eye.
I can barely stand needles poking me anywhere, but in the eye? I can’t even imagine. I wonder what would happen if you decided to change your mind after it was done?
